DRAGON BALL
Dragon Ball is one of the biggest franchises to ever come out of Japan. Created by Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball follows the adventures of Goku and his friends and family as they become the greatest heroes on Earth and must protect the legendary Dragon Balls from those who wish to misuse their wish granting power. As one of the last surviving members of the Saiyan Race, Goku continues to become more powerful by achieving new transformations and techniques to better protect the universe from a myriad of villains.
YouTube Channel FRAME ONE, originally called THE NOTORIOUS LUKE, has released four episodes of this masterpiece series DRAGON BALL: DELIVERANCE with the quality on being on par with animation studios. Deliverance takes place after Dragon Ball GT (which came out in 1990s) and shows Goku’s friends and family up against an ancient threat from Piccolo’s ancestral homeworld of Namek in the form of Commander Daiko who wants to restore the Namekian Race to its former glory as a powerful empire and unleash a devastating super weapon: HYDRA.
Dragon Ball Deliverance Episode 4 became so popular in the week of its release that it got mentioned in an article by ComicBook.com (https://comicbook.com/anime/news/dragon-ball-super-anime-fan-film-epic/).
YouTuber Mellavelli and his team have taken elements from Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super by having members of the Saiyan Race take on variations Super Saiyan 4 and Super Saiyan God transformations. Goku and his friends are up against a bunch of evil Saiyans that come from a distant planet called Absalon and are led by the mysterious and yet to be revealed Lord Erion, The Alpha Saiyan. YouTuber Lamassu and Lillo Briguglio Animations have made their own Dragon Ball series called DEVASTATION and is about a young alien warrior named Naru as he teams up with Goku and Vegeta to take down a divine duo of time travelling omnicidal villains – Goku Black & Zamasu. Naru must unlock secrets of his past to become a mighty warrior and help Goku and Vegeta save the universe from these living nightmares.
(SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT)
For years, a YouTuber named MaSTAR Media worked on a project that’s just as ambitious as the MCU’s Infinity Saga by making ANIME WAR, the first massive crossover of all Japan based franchises, as the fate of the entire Anime-Multiverse is at stake by the return of The Evil Gods.
The overall production is nothing but pure awesomeness and it hits all the right notes with the animation getting better as the story progresses, music, story, characters, emotions, stakes and direction, it really makes you wonder who’s going to win in this epic show down of good vs evil as MaSTAR Media has proven himself to be the biggest anime fan by giving people such an epic event.
While making Anime War, Mastar Media had some trouble and one of the episodes of Anime War didn’t make it into the final product so there’s a whole episode missing but that doesn’t ruin the Anime War series by any means.
Toei Animation has blocked/taken down Anime War on Mastar’s YouTube Channel due to him tracing scenes of pre-existing animation, which Mastar explains in the two video below.
Warning: The two following videos contain some swearing!
MaSTAR Media has even made his own franchise called Demon Rush.
TRANSFORMERS
Hasbro released the first Transformers cartoon which has long been called Generation 1/G1 by fans back in 1984 with the intent to sell action figures to kids. The franchise is about two ancient factions of shapeshifting robots: the heroic Autobots led by Optimus Prime and the malevolent Decepticons led by Megatron. The war between both factions lasts for tens of thousands or millions of years depending on continuity, turning their home world of Cybertron to a lifeless shell. The Autobot-Decepticon War would ultimately continue on present day Earth with humans frequently helping the Autobots in their war while teaching them about Earth culture.
Transformers has always been one of my favourite franchises as I watched the original 80s cartoon and other versions of the franchise when I was a kid, and I really enjoyed the live action movies.
Prime Animations YouTube Channel has given Transformers fans the proper sequel to the much beloved Transformers Prime TV Show with Galvatron’s Revenge.
Galvatron’s Revenge takes place following the final season of Transformers Prime which had the Autobot-Decepticon War ending with Megatron disbanding the Decepticons, renouncing his evil ways and exiling himself while Optimus Prime sacrificed himself to bring life back to the Transformers home world Cybertron.
TFI Creations YouTube Channel makes stop motion videos using Transformers action figures to tell his own Transformers stories. Here are some of his best works…
Following the financial failure of Transformers 5: The Last Knight (2017), the YouTube Channel known only as Transformers: Rise of Unicorn is in the middle of producing a 4-hour long cgi animated movie that will conclude the Michael Bay Transformers Movies by featuring the ultimate villain of the franchise, Unicron – The Chaos God himself.
YouTuber Rajarajan Manoharan has made a number of incredibly well done Transformers videos.
YouTube Channel The Name Brand Company have made their own movie of the war of between Autobots and Decepticons that ravaged their home-world Cybertron titled Cybertron Falls: The War Within.
BOICEOVER YouTube Channel has started making a series based on the War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron video games.
Watcher Prime YouTube Channel
Fanatic Films YouTube Channel makes an unofficial Season 4 of the Original Transformers cartoon from the 1980s that has old and new characters face off in this epic series.
BIONICLE
Bionicle was one of my favourite franchises growing up and still is to this day. Bionicle was one of the most successful toy lines created by LEGO and got the company out of financial difficulty. Bionicle had four animated movies and a whole lot of tie-in novels, comics and video games.
“The LEGO Company’s financial state was poor during the late 1990s, and decided that a LEGO theme with a storyline would appeal to children. Their first attempt to do so was the Star Wars line, which became an instant success, but the required royalty payments to Lucasfilm cost LEGO dearly. The company decided that they needed an original story, created by the LEGO group itself…”
“BIONICLE is a constraction (a portmanteau of the terms construction/action) theme with a series of sets using modified TECHNIC pieces and ball-and-socket joints to create large, elaborate figures. There were also comic books released during the span of the original run, but after Bionicle was discontinued the comic books were gathered into volumes of graphic novels, with the comic books being discontinued. Novels were also released. The theme was introduced in 2001 and originally discontinued in 2010, being succeeded for a time by Hero Factory. It is well-known among the LEGO community for the extreme popularity it had when it was in stores in the early 2000’s, before its hiatus. In 2014, the return of BIONICLE was announced and new sets were produced for 2015. It was discontinued once again in 2016.” Source: (https://brickipedia.fandom.com/wiki/BIONICLE)
INFINITY BLADE
The Infinity Blade games were some of my all time favourite games back when I was in school. Sadly they are no longer available on iOS/App Store. The following video is an original fan made story that ties into the events that are mention in the games of how Ausar the Vile was beaten by the God King Raidriar.
